Outcome

We received 4 public submissions (found below) and one confidential submission.

We have gone ahead with the updates to RALIs MS45, MS31 and FX20. We also made editorial updates and included provisions to clarify the interactions with AUS100A footnotes.

The outcomes paper in the key documents box above explains our decisions and summarises the issues raised in submissions. You can access the updated instructions on our RALIs to coordinate frequencies page.

Previous consultation: The issue

We want to expand RALI MS45. It will include new coordination rules for earth receive stations and fixed-link transmitters in the 7.5 GHz, 8 GHz, 11 GHz, 18 GHz and 75/85 GHz bands.

The proposed updates to RALI MS45 meet ACMA coordination procedures and International Telecommunication Union guidelines. We have carefully considered their application in Australia.

We also propose to make:

  • related updates to RALIs FX20 and MS31
  • editorial updates to improve readability and accuracy.

Draft versions of the updated RALIs are available above (with tracked changes).
