How to complain about something you see or hear
Broadcasters need a licence to broadcast TV or radio in Australia. They have to follow:
- the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 and determinations made under that Act
- a range of standards
- codes of practice that they help to develop, so their content meets community expectations.
The rules may be different for commercial broadcasters and subscription broadcasters. They also vary between TV and radio and between community broadcasters and those that broadcast for profit.
