Make a complaint about gambling

If you have a complaint about gambling advertising on TV, radio or online, find out who to contact.

Check the rules

Before, during and after live sport, rules apply to when ads about gambling services can be broadcast or streamed.

The rules cover services provided by:

  • TV broadcasters
  • radio broadcasters
  • online streaming services
  • social networking services

Before you complain to us, check the rules:

Complain about gambling ads on TV or radio

You should complain to the broadcaster first if your complaint is about:

  • a gambling ad or the promotion of live odds during a live sports broadcast on TV or radio
  • how many gambling ads you have seen on radio or TV

There aren't specific rules about how many gambling ads can be broadcast on radio or TV.

There are hourly limits that cap the amount of advertising that can be shown on commercial free-to-air TV and SBS. The rules are in industry codes of practice.

Complain about gambling during live online sport

Complain to us if you think a gambling service is being advertised, or live odds promoted, during live sport streamed online.

Complain online, or by post:
