Trends in viewing and listening behaviour

The ACMA’s 2020 annual consumer survey research tracks changes in the ways Australians are engaging with media and communications.

This snapshot, Trends in viewing and listening behaviour, provides insights into how Australians watch and listen to content. It also looks at how COVID-19 restrictions introduced in March 2020 affected our viewing and listening behaviours.

The findings highlight how streaming services have become part of the everyday lives of many Australians.

This research is part of the ACMA research program, which plays an important role in providing evidence to inform our decision making.
