NBN access transfer – AVC ID process

Transferring your NBN service to another provider

To move your current NBN service at your address to a different telco, you will need to give the new telco your ‘AVC ID’.

The AVC ID is a unique identifier with ‘AVC’ followed by 12 numbers, such as: AVC123456789100. Only you and your current telco have access to your AVC ID, so your service can’t be moved without your authorisation.

You’ll need to know your existing AVC ID before you ask another telco for a transfer.

Where to find your AVC ID

You can ask your telco for your AVC ID, or it will be on your bill, your telco’s web portal or app.

Once you change providers, your new telco will give you a new AVC ID.
