Remaking the Radiocommunications Licence Conditions (Aeronautical Licence) Determination 2015

On 4 September 2025, we made the Radiocommunications Licence Conditions (Aeronautical Licence) Determination 2025. This replaces the Radiocommunications Licence Conditions (Aeronautical Licence) Determination 2015 

We received one submission to the consultation. It supported the remake and minor changes we proposed. You can access the submission at the bottom of this page. 

The Radiocommunications Licence Conditions (Aeronautical Licence) Determination 2015 (the Aeronautical LCD) outlines the conditions that apply to aeronautical licences. These licences are required to operate fixed, mobile and handheld equipment used for purposes such as air traffic control, airport fire or maintenance services and company communications. The Aeronautical LCD is due to sunset on 1 October 2025.

We believe that the Aeronautical LCD forms a necessary and useful part of our regulatory framework so we propose to remake it with minor changes.
