Where to start
Read the Australian procedures for the coordination and notification of satellite systems. This describes the policies and procedures for each stage of the coordination process.
Contact us at satellite.coordination@acma.gov.au to advise us of your intention to apply. We will consider your requirements and provide you with initial advice on starting the process.
How to apply
- Complete form R205: Application for use of access to an International Telecommunication Union (ITU) satellite filing.
- Pay the application fee listed in Part 6 of the Radiocommunications (Charges) Determination 2022. The fee is currently $1,130 for initial assessment and consultation for a new satellite operator. The additional fee for completion of a satellite filing assessment is based on an hourly rate of $226.
