Official hospitality, gifts and benefits register

Our receipt of hospitality, gifts and benefits register is published under new guidance from the Australian Public Service Commission (APSC).

The APSC guidance relates to new disclosure obligations applicable to Agency Heads. The ACMA has chosen to extend these disclosure requirements to all employees (including those that support the Office of the e-Safety Commissioner) in line with APSC best practice guidance. ACMA Members have also agreed to disclose such benefits in the register. The e‑Safety Commissioner will disclose in a separate register.

This register lists hospitality, gifts and/or benefits valued over $AUD100 (GST exclusive) relating to the ACMA Chair, Members and all employees from 18 October 2019. The register will be updated on a quarterly basis by 30 April, 31 July, 31 October and 31 January each year.

Gifts and/or benefits accepted by the ACMA Chair, Members and all employees remain the property of the ACMA, unless the accountable officer determines it is appropriate for the recipient to keep the gift or benefit.

From 2024–25 there will also be a register which lists declined hospitality, gifts and/or benefits valued over $AUD100 (GST exclusive) relating to the ACMA Chair, Members and all employees. The register will be updated on a quarterly basis by 30 April, 31 July, 31 October and 31 January each year.
