The applicant requested submissions made to the public consultation on the draft Commercial Television Industry Code of Practice (the Draft Code) that mention alcohol, documents relating the outcomes of the Draft Code and documents relating to the ACMA’s consideration of evidence on the impact of alcohol advertising.
248 documents were identified as falling within scope. 5 of those documents were released in full. 161 were released subject to redactions made under section 22 of the FOI Act of material exempt under paragraph 47(1)(b) and sections 45, 47C, 47E and 47G of the FOI Act or out of scope of the request. 8 were not released as they were exempt under sections 45, 47C and 47G or out of scope of the request.
The access to 35 of the documents is by inspection in accordance with subsection 20(3) of the FOI Act. 38 of the documents were excluded from the request as they were already publicly available and 1 document was a duplicate.
