Outcome
On 15 December 2023, we made the Variation to Licence Area Plan – Armidale Radio – 2023 (No. 1). We added the following:
- 3 new transmitters for the 2AD commercial radio broadcasting service at Armidale, Guyra and Uralla, NSW
- 3 new transmitters for the 2NEB commercial radio broadcasting service at Armidale, Guyra and Uralla, NSW.
We also made minor changes to the Armidale licence area plan.
Previous consultation: The issue
We want to vary the Armidale licence area plan (LAP). This involves adding 3 new FM transmitters for the 2AD commercial radio broadcasting service, and 3 new FM transmitters for the 2NEB commercial radio broadcasting service at Armidale Town, Guyra and Uralla.
It will improve coverage for those services within the Armidale area.
