During this period we will:
- support an efficient and reliable communications infrastructure
- build consumer trust in the use of communications content and services.
The plan outlines how we’ll continue to protect consumers, minimise harms, support innovation and new technologies, and promote industry compliance in an evolving communications and media environment. It also reflects our growing role in areas such as scam prevention, gambling regulation and the reliability of critical communications services.
The plan recognises that our skills and expertise as a regulator are fundamental to achieving our purpose. We will continue to invest in our people, systems, data and regulatory capabilities, while strengthening our use of technology, including AI, to improve the way we regulate and respond to a rapidly changing environment.
These efforts will help ensure we remain responsive to technological change, shifting consumer expectations and emerging challenges across the communications and media sectors.
Our Corporate plan on a page 2026–27 summarises the key elements of this year’s plan.
