Key documents

The issue

We want to vary the Albury and Wagga Wagga licence area plans (LAPs). This will involve:

  • Enabling the 2AY commercial radio broadcasting service in Albury to convert from AM to FM.
  • Making spectrum available for the existing 2REM community radio broadcasting service in the Albury RA2 licence area. This will allow it to transmit on the frequency 90.5 MHz instead of 107.3 MHz. It will make the 107.3 MHz frequency spectrum available for the proposed conversion of 2AY from AM to FM transmission.
  • Making spectrum available for one new FM infill transmitter for the 2REM community radio broadcasting service in the Albury RA2 licence area, at Culcairn.
  • Making spectrum available for the 2WG commercial radio broadcasting service in Wagga Wagga RA1. This will allow it to broadcast on FM transmission
  • Making spectrum available for 2 FM infill transmitter for the 2AAA community radio broadcasting service in Wagga Wagga RA3, at Ladysmith and Uranquinty.
  • Making other minor amendments to the Albury and Wagga Wagga LAPs.

You can find the full details in the consultation paper and draft instruments in the key documents box above.
