Outcome

On 31 July 2025, we made the Variation to Licence Area Plan – Deniliquin – 2025 (No. 1). This involves:

  • making spectrum available for a new FM transmitter at Deniliquin for the 2QN commercial radio service operating on 106.1 MHz
  • updating specs for commercial services 2QN and 2MOR at Cobram
  • removing the specification for the high power open narrowcasting service operating on 106.1 MHz planned for the Deniliquin RA1 licence area.

The proposed changes will:

  • make FM spectrum available in the more populated Deniliquin town area
  • maintain the current AM transmission for the less populated areas of the Deniliquin licence area.

We received 2 submissions to the consultation. You can access these at the bottom of the page.
