Previous consultation: The issue

The Radiocommunications (Interpretation) Determination 2015 (ID 2015) is due to sunset on 1 April 2025.

The ID 2015 includes the definitions of expressions used in legislative instruments that we make. It is important because it contains definitions relating to radiocommunications services, and the licensing of radiocommunications devices in Australia.

We believe that the ID 2015 forms a necessary and useful part of the regulatory framework and should be remade with only minor changes.

Details of this proposal are in the consultation paper in the key documents box. A copy of the draft Radiocommunications (Interpretation) Determination 2024 is also available.
