Remaking the Types Determination and allowing the Fixed Receive Licence LCD and Accreditation Body Determination to sunset

We have remade the Radiocommunications (Specified Radiocommunications Receivers and Types of Transmitter Licences and Receiver Licences) Determination 2014. The Radiocommunications (Specified Radiocommunications Receivers and Types of Transmitter Licences and Receiver Licences) Determination 2024 commenced on 21 September 2024.

We are reviewing 3 legislative instruments that are due to sunset:

• the Radiocommunications (Specified Radiocommunications Receivers and Types of Transmitter Licences and Receiver Licences) Determination 2014 (the ‘Types Determination’)
• the Radiocommunications Licence Conditions (Fixed Receive Licence) Determination 2015 (the ‘Fixed Receive Licence LCD’)
• the Radiocommunications (Accreditation Body) Determination 2014 (the ‘Accreditation Body Determination’).

As the Types Determination forms a necessary and useful part of the regulatory framework for apparatus licensing, we are proposing to remake it with minor changes. We are proposing to allow the Fixed Receive Licence LCD and the Accreditation Body Determination to sunset.
