Are you a regional/small publisher or content provider? Do you create civic or public interest journalism that connects your community? Do you have an innovative idea to grow your business or expand your audience?
The Australian Government has established the Regional and Small Publishers Innovation Fund to provide grants to eligible regional publishers, small publishers and content providers for initiatives that support the continuation, development, growth and innovation of Australian civic and public interest journalism.
Delivered through a competitive selection process, up to $16 million in grants is available per year over the next three financial years. The fund will assist news businesses to transition and compete more successfully in the evolving media environment.
Round one of the grant program is now closed. The complete list of successful applicants from round one will be published on the GrantConnect website in January 2019.
It is anticipated that applications for round two will open in the first quarter of 2019.
