How we can fight spam together
The ACMA needs your help to fight spam. With the help of the Australian public we have undertaken substantive enforcement actions, as also highlighted in the Case studies page. The ACMA also works with international governments to fight spam and take action against spammers around the world.
To assist the ACMA to fight spam, you can:
- lodge a report or complaint about spam you receive.
- If you have been a victim of a scam, you can visit the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's Scamwatch website for information or to report a scam.
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) also deals with certain types of complaints about the content of some spam messages, particularly those relating to fraudulent conduct by Australian businesses. For more information visit ASIC's website at www.asic.gov.au.
