First let me acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we meet.
Today I am going to update you on some of the ACMA’s recent communications activities and our spectrum facilitation role in your area of interest, and then touch on some of our thinking about broadcasting regulation.
As you no doubt know, the ACMA was specifically created as a ‘converged’ regulator to bring together the converging threads of telecommunications, radiocommunications, the internet and broadcasting, incorporating as it did the Australian Broadcasting Authority.
