Corporate plan 2022–23

Our Corporate plan 2022–23 is the ACMA’s primary planning document and focuses on positioning the agency to achieve our purpose over the next 4 years

Following a comprehensive review, we have reaffirmed our purpose, vision and key activities, revised our performance information and identified the capabilities we need for the future.

Our purpose: The ACMA contributes to maximising the economic and social benefits of communications infrastructure, content and services for Australia. We do this by:

  • maintaining, enforcing, and improving regulation to drive industry performance and protect consumers
  • managing public resources to enable industry to deliver services to the community.

Our vision: a connected, informed and entertained Australia

Over the next 4 years, we will:

  • support an efficient and reliable communications infrastructure
  • build consumer trust in the use of communications content and services.

The ACMA’s corporate plan is prepared in accordance with paragraph 35(1)(b) of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 and section 56 of the Australian Communications and Media Authority Act 2005.
