New numbers

Numbers from 16 new prefixes were issued to customers in 2008. These numbers have been released because existing numbers have run out.

These prefixes may be unfamiliar to telephone users and should not be modified to something more familiar. If telephone users are unsure they should check the number before dialling.

Some customer premises equipment (CPE) such as PABXs may need to be modified to make calls to the new numbers. If in doubt, contact your CPE reprogrammer.

Untimed local call arrangements are not changed or impacted by the new numbers.

The new numbers do not change or replace existing numbers. Existing numbers can continue to be called. The new numbers are issued only for new services.

A similar level of location information can be found from the new numbers.
