Regional commercial radio online lodgement guide

System requirements

Internet Explorer (version 8 or later) is the recommended browser for use with the ACMA’s online lodgment system. The system may also work with other browsers, but these have not been tested by the ACMA.

What is AUSkey?

AUSkey is a digital credential used to access government online services. Each person who will be using the ACMA’s online lodgement system needs to have their own AUSkey. For more information please read the brochure or access the website

How do I obtain an AUSkey?

To obtain an AUSkey, please go to the Australian Business Register website ( and complete the online registration process.

When your registration has been approved the Australian Business Register will email you to advise that your AUSkey is ready to download and install. The AUSkey can be stored on your computer or on a USB device. You need to set up your AUSkey before you can access the ACMA’s online lodgement system. 

Why do I have to download software for an AUSkey?

The AUSkey software needs to be downloaded to your computer (or USB) so you can use the AUSkey. The software is free and available for most computer systems.

Can I use someone else’s AUSkey?

It is a breach of the AUSkey terms and conditions to share your AUSkey. Each user needs to register and obtain their own AUSkey.

What if I forget my password?

Please contact the Australian Business Register on 1800 287 539 or at to request for your password to be reset.

Some of the fields in my form are marked red or say my answer is ‘invalid’ what does this mean?

This means there is a validation error within those fields. You will be unable to progress your form until they have been addressed. If you are having trouble addressing a validation error, additional information may be available in a help button next to the field. Alternatively, please contact the Regional Commercial Radio Local Content Team for assistance.
