The form should be used when seeking authorisation to operate a radiocommunications transmitter within the broadcasting services bands or when seeking authorisation to vary licence conditions of existing licences. A separate application is required for each apparatus licence (i.e. for each transmitter).

In issuing an apparatus licence, the ACMA must have regard to:

  • all matters that it considers relevant;
  • the effect on radiocommunications of the proposed operation of the radiocommunications devices that would be authorised under the licence.
  • whether it is satisfied that the proposed operation of the transmitters is not reasonably likely to cause death of, or injury to, persons; or loss of, or damage to property.
