Telecommunications Technical Standard (Voice performance requirements for Customer Equipment - AS/CA S004) 2015

The ACMA standard Telecommunications Technical Standard (Voice performance requirements for Customer Equipment - AS/CA S004) 2015 applies to customer equipment that is designed or intended to transmit or receive voice frequency signals for voice communication, voice messages or tones by direct or indirect electrical or electro acoustic means and for connection to a telecommunications network.

The ACMA standard adopts the industry standard AS/CA S004 - Voice performance requirements for Customer Equipment.

It is important to note that the applicable mandatory standard is the ACMA standard, not the industry standard to which it refers.

A combined explanatory statement for all ACMA telecommunications technical standards made under section 376 of the Telecommunications Act 1997 is available.
