Radiocommunications (Paging Service Equipment) Standard

The ACMA standard, Radiocommunications (Paging Service Equipment) Standard 2014, refers to a two part industry standard for technical performance matters including test methods and limits:

AS/NZS 4769.1:2000 Radiocommunications equipment used in the paging service

  • Part 1: Angle modulated equipment

and

AS/NZS 4769.2: 2000Radiocommunications equipment used in the paging service

  • Part 2: Amplitude modulated equipment.

The ACMA standard modifies aspects of the industry standard (see the ACMA standard for excluded provisions).

It is important to note that the applicable mandatory standard is the ACMA standard, not the industry standard to which it refers.

Testing and record-keeping requirements for this standard is Compliance level 2 (medium-risk device).
