Radiocommunications (Cordless Communications Devices) Class Licence 2001

The Radiocommunications (Cordless Communications Devices) Class Licence 2001 (the Class Licence) replaced the Radiocommunications (Cordless Telecommunications Devices) Class Licence 2001 on 14 October 2008.

The replacement was effected by the issue of the Radiocommunications (Cordless Communications Devices) Class Licence Variation 2008 (No. 1).

The name of the class licence was amended to reflect that any radiocommunications device using Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) technology can now be used under the Class Licence instead of only cordless telecommunications devices.

The Class Licence now also authorises cordless telecommunications devices previously authorised under the Radiocommunications Miscellaneous Devices Class Licence 1999 and the Radiocommunications (861-865 Land Stations and Handsets) Class Licence 1996.

The Radiocommunications (Cordless Communications Devices) Class Licence 2001 replaced the Radiocommunications Cordless Communications Devices) Class Licence 1999 on 1 July 2001.

The Radiocommunications (Cordless Communications Devices) Class Licence 2001 can be downloaded from the Comlaw website.

Further policy information can be obtained from the paper entitled Cordless Communications Devices.
