One in five Australians go ‘mobile-only’

More Australians are choosing to go without a fixed-line phone, instead relying on their mobile phone to meet their voice communications needs. In April 2011, the ACMA surveyed 800 mobile-only consumers to learn more about which sections of the community are going mobile-only, the reasons why and how mobile-only Australians use communications more generally.

The presentation below is a compendium of findings from the 2011 mobile-only survey. Results from this survey have also been published in the ACMA Communications report, 2010-11 series.
