ACMA auctions licences in the 2.3 GHz band
On Wednesday 13 July 2011, the Australian Communications and Media Authority successfully auctioned forty spectrum licences in the 2.3 GHz band. The licences were for residual lots in specified regional and remote areas of Australia.
The highest bidders bid a total of $1,671,350 for the forty licences. The names of the successful applicants and total bid prices are below:

A further eight spectrum licences in the 2.3 GHz band will be offered to BKAL Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Unwired Australia Pty Ltd at the pre-determined price. BKAL Pty Ltd was the only applicant for these licences.
