ACMA’s third annual conference on Spectrum Management
The Australian Communications and Media Authority’s third conference on spectrum management RadComms09 - Foundations for the Future was held at the Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM) on 29 and 30 April 2009.
The two day conference presented a unique opportunity to hear the latest spectrum developments, participate in open forums and exchange ideas with radiocommunications professionals from across industry and government. Panel sessions were a feature of the conference as well as a dedicated 400 MHz Q & A session, allowing open discussion on contemporary and evolving spectrum issues.
Speakers from both government and industry covered a wide range of topics and contemporary issues including:
- Opportunity-Cost Pricing
- 400 MHz – Government Perspective
- Technologies for Dedicated Short-Range Communications
- Digital Dividend
- Fixed Service Issues
- 3.6 GHz – ISP Perspective
A Welcome Reception was held in the evening on day one, all delegates were invited to attend the function in the Terrace Room at the ANMM.
There were also several breaks throughout the conference that allowed delegates adequate time to mingle and network.
