Radiocommunications Licence Conditions (Apparatus Licence) Determination 2003

The Radiocommunications Licence Conditions (Apparatus Licence) Determination 2003 sets conditions applicable to all apparatus licences issued under sections 100 and 100B of the Radiocommunications Act 1992. This includes all apparatus licences other than those authorising

  • commercial or community broadcasting services
  • temporary community broadcasting services or
  • datacasting services other than those associated with a national broadcasting service.

The Determination was made by the former ACA (a predecessor of ACMA) on 27 February, 2003, and gazetted on 28 February, 2003. It came into effect on 1 March, 2003.

The Determination sets out the circumstances under which a transmitter may be operated to communicate with another station and sets conditions regulating human exposure to electromagnetic radiation (EMR) emitted by a transmitter.
