The ACA released a discussion paper seeking comment on proposed equivalent service criteria for mobile number portability.
The criteria used for assessing whether the service provided to a customer with a ported number was equivalent to that provided to a customer with a non-ported number on the same network.
In accordance with the Telecommunications Numbering Plan 1997, the quality of service provided to ported and non-ported numbers on the same network must be equivalent.
The closing date for submissions was Friday 13 April 2001.
Acceptance of submissions in response to the discussion paper ended on Friday 13 April 2001.
