Under the Telecommunications Numbering Plan 1997 (the Plan), the ACMA can only allocate numbers to carriage service providers (CSPs).
Numbers managed by the ACMA include geographic numbers and digital mobile numbers.
CSPs can apply to the ACMA for numbers using the ACMA's Online Numbering System (NUMB).
Short digit premium rate numbers (191-199) and a small selection of 13/1300/1800 numbers are managed by the Industry Number Management Services Ltd (INMS) on behalf of the ACMA.
