Network Reliability Framework
Exchange Service Areas (ESAs) reported under Level 2 of the NRF for which ACMA requested additional information, July-August 2005 to April-May 2006.
Note: The reporting of an ESA for breaching the Level 2 thresholds is not necessarily an indication of poor performance or that the ESA is in need of remediation.
ACMA therefore requests additional information from Telstra about the nature of the faults within certain ESAs to determine whether there are common problems that could be addressed through remediation of the network.
In determining whether additional information is required for an ESA, ACMA will consider, among other things, the number of times the ESA has breached the NRF thresholds and the percentage of services in the ESA experiencing faults in two consecutive months.
