RadComms2010- The ACMA’s fourth annual conference on Spectrum Management

The Australian Communications and Media Authority’s fourth conference on spectrum management RadComms2010 was held at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins on 5 and 6 May 2010.

The two day conference presented a unique opportunity to hear the latest spectrum developments, participate in open forums and exchange ideas with radiocommunications professionals from across industry and government. Panel sessions were a feature of the conference allowing open discussion on contemporary and evolving spectrum issues.

Speakers from both government and industry covered a wide range of topics and contemporary issues including:

  • Industry perspective on spectrum management
  • Defence spectrum needs
  • Smart Grids
  • Digital Dividend and 2.5 GHz allocation
  • Future of free to air television

A Welcome Reception was held in the evening on day one, to allow delegates the opportunity to network at this event with their industry peers.

There were also several breaks throughout the conference that allowed delegates adequate time to mingle and network.
