Keeping children safe online: Cybersmart
While the spam industry is commercially driven and generally aimed at adults, children are curious and may unwittingly expose themselves to risks when using the internet. Some spam emails contain material that is offensive, or includes links to websites that may be unsuitable, or even potentially harmful, for children and young people.
The Cybersmart program is a national cybersafety education program managed by the ACMA. It provides a comprehensive range of information, resources and presentations designed to meet the needs of children, parents, teachers, and library staff. The ACMA’s Cybersmart website is home to all its cybersafety resources, research and activities.
