Alert: Changes to ACMA labelling arrangements from 1 March 2013.New single compliance mark – RCM. Further information is available. |
Labelling notices make compliance with technical standards a mandatory requirement for suppliers of equipment covered by compliance regimes. This includes manufacturers, importers and the agents of manufacturers and importers.
The regulatory arrangements for labelling notices aim to ensure that items meet minimum mandatory technical standards and are appropriately labelled before supply or connection to a telecommunications network.
Each notice is amended from time to time so that regulatory requirements remain relevant and contemporary.
Amendments to the labelling notices also serve to give regulatory effect to new or revised technical standards as they are put forward by industry.
