Applicant information package: 1800 MHz band auction

.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority has released the Applicant information package (AIP) for the upcoming 1800 MHz band auction in late November 2015.  The ACMA will auction spectrum in the regional 1800 MHz band (ranges 1725–1785 MHz and 1820–1880 MHz) and residual spectrum from the recently completed reissue of expiring spectrum licences in the band. All together, there are 147 lots up for auction.

The release of the AIP is the ACMA’s invitation to interested parties to apply to participate in the auction. The AIP will include the information outlined in section 4.5 of the Radiocommunications (Spectrum Licence Allocation – 1800 MHz Band) Determination 2015.

The AIP comprises a detailed auction guide, relevant legislative instruments and accompanying explanatory statements and the auction forms booklet. It also provides information on how to lodge auction documents.

The ACMA invites interested parties to apply to participate in the auction. The closing date for applications is October 1 2015.

Questions about the auction or further information on how to participate can be directed to the 1800 MHz band Auction Manager by email at 1800MHzauctionmanager@acma.gov.au.
