What is the International Training Program?

The Australian Communications and Media Authority International Training Program (ITP) offers participants from around the globe the opportunity to learn, build relationships and exchange ideas with international communications experts and professionals. The program provides a practical and engaging introduction to Australia's communications and media regulatory environment for mid to senior level regulatory officers from international government and communications operator administrations. It is run in conjunction with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

When is the next program being held?

The ITP is rotating through the Asia-Pacific Region with a different Regulator hosting the program each year. This year the ACMA is again hosting the program, running from Sydney 23-25 July. The theme is Convergent Regulation Through First Principles Thinking. More information about program is available here. Presentations, photos and speeches are available here.

The event has more than 65 registrants from 24 countries. It was opened by ACMA Chairman Chris Chapman and Sameer Sharma, the ITU's Asian Pacific Regional Director.

More information on the International Training Program overall can be found here.
