Draft radio licence area plans

Licence area plans (LAPs) determine the number, category and characteristics of broadcasting services available in a licence area.

Before varying or making a LAP, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (the ACMA) publishes consultation papers and invites comments from stakeholders and members of the general public. Draft LAPs that are currently open for comment are listed below.

Details of consultations on draft LAPs that have closed are available on the Closed draft LAPs page.

Once a draft LAP has been finalised, it is published under Final licence area plans.

The draft LAP documents below are in Word (.doc or .docx) or Adobe PDF formats, and are listed by closing date in descending order.

For alternate formats please contact the ACMA on 1300 850 115.

Key: EXP = Explanatory paper, LAP = Licence area plan, LAD = Licence area designation, FAP = Frequency allotment plan, MAP = Licence area map, DP = Discussion paper.
